Max
Max was born on 5th November 1998. A wonderful, if unexpected, addition to our family. His heart defects PA, VSD & MAPCAs, resulting from 22q11.2 deletion, meant his oxygen levels were so low that his bowel died and he lacked an immune system. He died of sepsis in multiple organ failure on 1st March 1999. Following Max’s death, we established Max Appeal, the national charity for people with 22q11DS & I became a trustee of CHF through which we’ve met some truly wonderful and inspiring people.
